When this fails we have a system that attempts to pick up the pieces of shattered lives.
Even now each of us knows families who are struggling that we can reach out to help and make different by our support.
There is not one person who did not grieve for a different outcome to such a beautiful little life.
For TaJanay and all the children who look to adults to help them in life, may we use this experience to take effectual steps to ensure that this never happens again.
The improvement of communication between agencies and departments is certainly a step in the right direction, remembering too that reunification in many cases is very successful.
Both agencies and families need the support it takes to keep our children safe and strong.
