The defense provided three experts who testified under oath that Michael was legally insane.
This defense was not an excuse for such a horrific act, but an explanation of definition.
This determination was not to allow early release but to define how a mentally ill teen will be
housed and treated.
In this case the mental illness is real.
While a jury chooses to sentence him as an adult, to an adult population, most likely for life,
we consider it medical neglect.
